TVS Ntorq 150 is reportedly in the works and will launch soon. The scooter will rival the likes of Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160. India is one of the largest scooter markets in the world, dominated by several 110 cc and 125 cc models like the Honda Activa series, TVS Jupiter series, Suzuki Access and TVS Ntorq 125. The Ntorq is currently one of the sportiest and fastest scooters in the 125 cc segment, and a 150 cc version is also coming soon.

TVS Ntorq 150 Upcoming – Here’s what to expect?
The 150cc – 160cc segment is becoming more popular in India with scooters like the Aerox 155 and Xoom 160. TVS is also looking to enter this segment next with the Ntorq 150 that could act as a future-proof product, aligning with the brand’s long-term goals. For now, this premium segment of scooters has low sales volumes compared to the 110cc and 125cc segments.
However, with the market preference shifting towards bigger engines, the premium scooter segment is expected to witness an increased demand in the upcoming years. Hence, TVS could be launching the Ntorq 150 at the right time. They also have the advantage of name value, since the Ntorq 125 is one of the best sellers of its segment and is often associated with performance scooters. For reference, in FY25, the Ntorq 125 was the 5th best-selling scooter in India with a market share of 5.31%.

Expecting a similar or enhanced sporty design, premium features and a powerful engine, the Ntorq 150 could become one of the favourites. The brand currently does not have a liquid-cooled engine that is used by the likes of Aerox 155 and Xoom 160 in the 150 cc scooter segment, so the R&D for a new engine from scratch might be costly, but once developed, TVS could balance the expense by putting it in future models.
TVS could just develop an air-cooled engine, which would be affordable but might disappoint buyers who expected better performance,e although Aprilia uses air-cooled engines for its 160cc models. TVS might just focus more on direct rivals like the Aerox and Xoom and develop a new 150cc liquid-cooled motor.

While official details are yet to come out, the performance of the Ntorq 150 is expected to be either on par or better than its rivals. For reference, the Yamaha Aerox is powered by a 155 cc, liquid-cooled engine that generates 15 PS and 13.9 Nm, while the Hero Xoom uses a 156 cc, liquid-cooled motor that produces 14.6 PS and 14 Nm.
The TVS Ntorq 150 is expected to debut around the festive season and could be launched at a starting price of Rs 1.50 Lakh (approximately). This pricing would keep it on par with rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160, both of which costs Rs 1.50 Lakh and 1.48 lakh respectively.
