TVS Motor Company performed quite strongly in sales in March 2025, registering a 16.95% year-on-year (YoY) growth across its domestic and export business for its combined lineup of 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers. The brand sold a total of 4,14,687 units in March 2025 as compared to the 3,54,592 units in March 2024.
TVS March 2025 Sales: Two-wheelers are the MVPs
Two-wheelers are the primary sales driver for TVS, with a total sales of both domestic and export reaching 4,00,120 units, a 16.16% increase over 3,44,446 units sold in the same month last year.
Motorcycle sales increased to 1,96,734 units, led by the Apache series and Raider, compared to the 1,71,611 units, meaning a 14.64% YoY growth. Meanwhile, the scooter sales also saw a strong surge in sales of 26.49%, headed by Jupiter and Ntorq, with 1,66,297 units sold compared to 1,31,472 units in March 2024. Electric scooters, the iQube to be exact, sales doubled last month, growing by 76.62%, reaching 26,935 units, compared to 15,250 units last year. However, the same cannot be said for the XL100 Moped, which saw a decline of 10.33% with 37,089 units sold in March 2025 compared to 41,363 units in March 2024.
Domestic 2-wheeler sales registered 2,97,622 units, growing by 14.24% YoY. Meanwhile, the exports also showed strong growth with 1,02,498 units shipped, a 22.15% increase over last year.
TVS March 2025 Sales: Three-wheelers are the MVPs
TVS also reported solid growth in the 3-wheeler category with sales reaching 14.567 units in March 2025, registering a growth of 43.57%. Domestic 3-wheeler sales are 3,601 units, growing by 72.46% over 2,088 units in 2024.
In terms of exports, the 3-wheeler sales registered at 10,996 units, which is a 36.09% jump from 8,058 units in March 2024.
TVS March 2025 Sales Performance FY 2024-25
For the full financial year 2024-25, TVS saw a 13% growth in total sales, increasing from 41.91 lakh units in FY 2023-24 to 47.44 lakh units. 2-wheeler sales contributed majorly to this performance, growing 12% to reach 43.30 lakh units. Compared to February 2025, TVS experienced a massive growth this month and this financial year as well. With plans for future updates lined up, the company is expected to perform better and sell more units by the end of this financial year.
