Teaser images of the new Triumph Daytona 660 have recently been released by the brand on its social media platforms, announcing its arrival. The Supersport is set to make its debut on January 9. The bike will face off with the likes of Honda CBR650R, Yamaha R7 and Kawasaki Ninja 650.
Triumph Daytona 660 – What do we know so far?
Going with the teaser and spy shots, the bike appears to have a fully faired and aggressive design, which will surely appeal to a lot of people, especially youngsters. It gets a split seat setup, a split LED headlight and ergonomics that don’t seem as committed as other sports bikes.
The display is also expected to the other Triumph 660s, so features will be similar too. The new Daytona is also expected to pack similar electronic rider aids such as two riding modes, a traction control system, and a bi-directional system.
The Daytona 660 was recently spotted testing this year and that helped get information on certain aspects of the motorbike. The main frame, engine and swingarm on this bike appear to be shared with the Trident 660 and the power output from the 3-cylinder engine is likely to be 81 hp/ 64 Nm that both the Trident and Tiger Sport 660s make.
Expect the pricing of the new Triumph Daytona 660 to be more than the Trident 660 and similar to the Tiger Sport 660. The Trident 660 starts from Rs 8.12 lakh while the Tiger Sport 660 is priced from Rs 9.34 lakh, both ex-showroom prices. Triumph also unveiled their Scrambler 1200 series a few months ago, which is also set to launch in 2024.
