The upcoming Royal Enfield Roadster 450 has been spotted once again, hinting at its possible launch within the next few months. The bike will be based on the new Himalayan 450 but will be more road-focused with minimal retro-modern bodywork.
The test mule shows a round headlamp, a single-piece seat and a chunky fuel tank and the overall looks very much similar to the smaller Hunter 350. Expect features like Full-LED lighting, ABS, ride-by-wire, a fully digital cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support.
Specs-wise the bike will likely go with either telescopic or USD front forks and an offset monoshock paired with front and rear discs which are mounted on alloys.
Since the Roadster 450 will be based on the new Himalayan, it will obviously use the latest Sherpa 450 unit with the new Roadster which is a single-cylinder, 450 cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 40bhp and 40Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The upcoming RE Roadster 450 upon launch will compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400 and also the Hero Mavrick 440, which was recently revealed.
