Royal Enfield Classic 650 Spied Testing Again

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 was spotted again during test runs in India and this time, the little spy video reveals the Iconic thump of the Classic 650 which is the key highlight of the bike. The brand started the year with a bang with the Shotgun 650 in January and plans to launch more products in 2024.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Spotted Again – Highlights

The upcoming Classic 650 will likely carry the fan-favourite timeless design of the Classic 350 which includes elements such as a round headlamp, wide handlebar, curvy fuel tank, retro front and rear fenders and circular tail lights.

A circular instrument cluster is highly expected, as seen with other new Royal Enfield motorbikes such as the Himalayan 450 and Shotgun 650. However, given it’s a Classic, expect the instrument dial to be a semi-analogue unit similar to the Classic 350, which honestly looks very good. Both alloy and spoke wheel options are expected to be provided.

The chassis of the bike has a built-in low centre of gravity which will ensure proper stability when riding in different environments. The seat height of the bike will likely be around 800 mm, which ensures good handling and control.

The bike will come equipped with standard forks at the front, paired with preload-adjustable twin shocks at the rear. The Braking will likely be taken care of by a 320 mm disc front and 300 mm disc at the rear with Dual-channel ABS as standard.

Powering the bike will be the 648 cc, SOHC, Parallel-Twin, air-oil cooled engine that generates 47 PS of Power and 52.3 Nm of Peak Torque. This unit is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and is known for its smooth gear shifts, effortless throttle response and low-end acceleration.

As for pricing, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 would be offered in Rs 3.3 lakh range and at launch won’t face any direct segment rivals. The Classic 650 will be positioned as an affordable 650cc motorbike and that’s why it might miss some premium features such as USD forks and the new Tripper Unit.
