Upcoming new TVS Electric Scooter

TVS has lined up 3 electric scooters for launch in their timeline for India for FY26. The TVS X, which was unveiled a long time ago, is one of the three scooters. The scooter is already listed on the brand’s official website for retail. Although it is not yet for sale, buyers can reserve it online.

As for the other two electric vehicles, one is an improved iQube while the other one is a new TVS electric scooter, as confirmed by Venu. This is a big move from the brand, since it is currently the market leader of India’s electric scooter segment in terms of sales and volume. These upcoming scooters will likely solidify the brand’s top EV-maker position in India.

For now, details about the new TVS electric scooter have not been disclosed yet, but it might be a more affordable offering to compete against the Ola S1X and upcoming scooters like the affordable Chetak and Vida VX2.

The improved iQube will maintain its current design language with subtle upgrades to increase its value. But considering the iQube lineup was launched in 2020, an updated design might benefit the brand.

For features, the electric scooter might get a higher range from its 2.2 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 5.3 kWh battery packs for enhanced efficiency. Currently, the range starts from 94 km with a 2.2 kWh battery to 212 km with a 5.3 kWh battery pack. The new iQube is also expected to pack a mid-mounted motor and get a rear disc with a single-channel ABS system.

Currently, the iQube lineup is offered in three trims – iQube, iQube S and iQube ST. The pricing starts from Rs 94,434 (ex-showroom) and Rs 1.59 Lakh (ex-showroom). The improved iQube is also expected to be priced similarly, while the new TVS scooter will be positioned below the iQube.
