A New Hero Xpulse 210 was spotted during test runs and while it was heavily camouflaged, its engine was visible, which looks like the engine used in the new Karizma XMR.
With the success of the Harley Davidson X440, Hero MotoCorp is yet to launch its own bikes. Luckily for fans, Hero has plans for some new launches apart from the new Xpulse 210 such as a 400CC Xpulse and another new bike in the sub-250CC segment that I will talk about a bit later.
Hero Xpulse 210 – Engine upgrade?
The new Xpulse will definitely have a new engine, as seen in the spy shots. The only thing to see now is whether the power has been upgraded or not. While this might look like the case since the engine looks similar to the one used in the new Karizma XMR, the bike may even get a whole new different engine.
Moving forward considering it gets the Karizma Engine, the new Xpulse might get a slightly modified version of it, with a higher power in low-end torque suitable for ADV bikes.
Speaking of the Karizma engine, it is a liquid-cooled 210CC single-cylinder DOHC engine. The engine is very powerful, capable of producing 25.5 hp and 20.4 Nm of torque, and allows the Karizma to be one of the fastest and most powerful sports bikes in its segment.
The Xpulse 200 4V which is currently on sale comes with a 199.6CC, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 19.17 hp and 17.35 Nm of torque. The Karizma engine will not only make the Xpulse more powerful, but it will also become more efficient. Interestingly, this liquid-cooled engine is a brand-new engine from Hero MotoCorp and made its debut with the Karizma.
Hero Xpulse 210 – More adventure-like?
Though not much cannot be pointed out, the new Xpulse’s body looks similar to the current one but the fuel tank appears to be redesigned. It gets a circular LED headlamp with a ‘H’ design and LED indicators, a long-travel suspension setup, a high-set fender and knobby tires.
The features aren’t disclosed yet but expect to see better brakes, dual-channel ABS, slip-and-assist clutch, Bluetooth-enabled digital cluster and traction control.
Currently, the 2023 Xpulse 200 4V gets an LCD digital console with Bluetooth, telescopic front forks with a rear mono-shock, 276 mm front and 220 mm rear disc setup, USB charging socket, single-channel ABS, and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tyres.
Hero Xpulse 210 – What was the bike beside it?
Just like I said before Hero might launch a new bike in the sub-250CC segment. From the looks of it, the bike was a streetfighter in disguise that probably sports the same 210CC engine. The bike in question might either be a part of the Xtreme line-up or it’s a naked version of the Karizma.
The streetfighter gets an upside-down fork and 17-inch wheels. Also, expect a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights and a dual-disc setup with ABS.
Hero Xpulse 210 – Rivals and pricing
The Xpulse 210 doesn’t have any direct rivals and it won’t be fair to compare it with the likes of Pulsar NS 200 or the Apace RTR 200 4V. These bikes are comparable to the upcoming Streetfighter.
The closest Hero’s adventure bike gets as a rival in its own game is the Himalayan or the Scram, both of which are much more powerful than the Xpulse. However, a 400CC Xpulse is also currently in development and will take on the new RE Himalayan 452.
As for the price, the ongoing Xpulse has a price range of Rs 1.45 lakh to Rs 1.52 lakh, so expect the new Xpulse 210 to have the same or higher pricing.
