Hero Motocorp made quite the buzz at the 2024 EICMA by showcasing 4 new motorbikes, which were the Hero Xtreme 250R, Xpulse 210, Xoom 160 and the Vida Z global electric scooter. The Vida Z was spotted recently during its test runs ahead of its mass market launch without camouflage.
Hero Vida Z Spied
Currently, Hero Motocorp only operates the V2 Lineup of electric scooters under their Vida Brand. At the 2024 EICMA, the brand showcased a brand new electric scooter with the intention to launch it globally. The scooter called the Vida Z is a stylish scooter that will appeal to both family peeps and vibe seekers. This scooter packs a different styling from the V2 lineup.
The upcoming Vida Z got spotted for the first time and that too without any camouflage, so we got to see it in this pretty yellow shade. However, when this test mule is compared to the showcased model, it misses out on a few elements like the orange accents (which might come with a variant or as a colour option) and the pillion backrest (which might be available as an accessory).
As far as design is concerned, the Vida Z takes a more sober approach but has a touch of sportiness, unlike the Vida V2, which is sportier and is designed more aggressively.
The LED headlights seemed to be similar to the showcased Vida Z, but the front part itself looks new and without any cuts. Handlebar cowl and front mud guard get a dual tone finish, while some of the other notable elements include LED taillamp, LED turn indicators and single-piece seat with a touchscreen fully digital instrument cluster.
Apart from the few minute differences, the test mule seems to be identical to the showcased model at the EICMA. Seeing the test mule is without a disguise, the launch is likely to be very close, might as well be within the next month.
The Vida Z is built on a modular platform and accepts battery packs between 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh. These batteries will be removable, so you can take them to your home and charge it. The motor will also be powerful and will be either swingarm or mid-mounted. Looking at the design, the scooter is expected to offer good range, features and practicality like good underseat storage space.
