Hero MotoCorp has launched the Vida V1 Plus in India for a competitive and attractive price of Rs 1.15 lakh, which includes the subsidy and portable charger. The whole package at this price makes the Via V1 Plus a very tempting offering when compared to rivals like the OLA S1 Air and S1 X+, Ather 450S, TVS iQube, Simple Dot One and Bajaj Chetak.
2024 Hero Vida V1 Plus Launch – Highlights
Hero seems to have a very carefully planned strategy for this year, considering they entered the year with a bang with some awesome launches such as the Mavrick 440 and the Xtreme 125R and many more such as the Xoom 160 ADV scooter. Apart from the ICE-powered vehicles Hero currently also seems to be focused on EVs, since they have launched an E-Scooter, V1 Plus via their own sub-brand “Vida”, which is an EV-focused Subsidiary of Hero Motorcorp.
Interestingly, Hero being Hero didn’t let us down and launched the V1 Plus at a very competitive and reasonable price of Rs 1.14 lakh which includes the central subsidy and a portable charger.
However Vida V1 Plus is not a newly launched machine, it is making a comeback in the market after it was discontinued and the top-spec V1 Pro became the sole offering under the Vida brand.
In comparison, the 2024 V1 Plus is Rs 30,000 less expensive than the top-spec Vida V1 Pro which makes it a value-for-money e-scooter. Another fact that adds to the value of the V1 Plus is its differences from the V1 Pro which is surprisingly not much, despite the price gap between the two.
Both the V1 Plus and Pro have similar stylings including stance and other components. Both e-scooters also share the same technology and get a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard. The top speed of both scooters are same at 80 km/h.
The few attributes that differentiate them actually justify the price gap between the Vida V1 Pro and Plus. For instance, the Pro bears a larger 3.94 kWh battery pack with a 110 km range whereas the Plus has a bit smaller 3.44 kWh battery which offers 100 km.
