Hero recently revealed an exclusive variant of karizma at the Hero World 2024 event. This bike is called the CE001 and only 100 units of this limited edition motorbike will be produced and sold. This is the first time the brand has introduced a limited edition model for Indian Buyers.
Hero CE001 – A tribute
The CE001 is not just a limited edition made due to Karizma’s cult-like success. This machine is actually a commemorative edition, designed to pay tribute to the founder of Hero, Dr Birjmohan Lal Munjal.
The key noticeable of the bike is the Semi-fairing, which is obviously inspired by the beloved original Karizma, and the overall bike is based on the newer Karizma XMR. However, the CE001 use a lot more expensive components than the XMR. Most of the bike is made out of carbon fibre and also uses an Akrapovic exhaust.
The 210cc liquid-cooled engine of the bike is expected to be in the same tuning as the XMR and hence produce the same 25hp and 20Nm, however, the limited edition might just perform better due to its lighter weight, thanks to the use of carbon fibre.
Apart from this, Hero hasn’t yet revealed the price of the limited edition CE001 yet, but expect it to cost a lot more than the Karizma XMR. The bike will likely go on sale in July and will be an online-only product. Hero also revealed its first-ever ADV touring scooter, the Xoom 160 at the Hero World Event which is expected to go live within the next six months, same time as the CE001.
