Bajaj Pulsar NS400

As confirmed by Bajaj earlier, the NS400 will be one of the 6 new Pulsar bikes to be launched by March 2024. The NS400 will be the biggest Pulsar ever and will either be based on the Dominar 400 or Triumph Speed 400 platform. A new platform for the bike is also very much possible.

New Chetak model Coming Soon

Bajaj recently updated the Chetak, where the Premium variant gets new features and a higher range. The company will also launch another new Chetak model soon, and it remains to be seen whether this new scooter will be a premium model or an affordable, entry-level model with a price tag of Rs 1 lakh or less.

Currently, the Chetak urbane and premium versions are available at a starting price of Rs 1.15 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh, respectively. The Scooter has seen quite a success in the Indian market with its share rising from 5% to 14% in just a year. With E-scooter sales of around 10,000 units, Bajaj plans to improve it further and aims for a sales figure of 15,000 units per month by March 2024.

Bajaj CNG Bike

Bajaj is also working on a new bike that will be powered by CNG, expected to be launched in the next financial year and could be a game-changer in the market if the price is available. The CNG will have quite some plus points over the normal petrol-powered bikes such as low operating costs and less chance of the fuel getting stolen. Also, it will be much easier to comply with the emission norms since the pollution of CNG-powered will be less too.

Other Plans

Apart from this, there are also talks of a commuter bike, possibly the CT 150X being launched soon by Bajaj which is hinted at by the spy shots of the camouflaged test mule. The brand also plans to continue focusing on the 125+ cc bike segment, since in October – December 2023, the 125cc portfolio of Bajaj saw 3X growth when compared to the overall Industry average. The market share currently stands at 31% and seeing the potential future of the 125CC+ segment, Bajaj is looking to take advantage of this and gain even more traction in this segment.

Also, keeping in mind the success and increasing demand of the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, Bajaj will be increasing the production of the bikes from 10,000 units to 30,000 units per month. The brand also plans to double the number of outlets for the bikes in India.
