The new Ninja HEV features a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support along with 3 riding modes – Sport hybrid, Eco hybrid, and EV.

The motorbike also ditches the traditional clutch-gear shifter for the shift paddles, placed on the left side, similar to Honda’s DCT bikes. The bike also has an Automatic Launch Position Finder which lets you go to the 1st gear with just a push of a button.

Moreover, when you stop the bike completely, it will turn the engine off to reduce emissions and will restart with a throttle twist.

Now, full specifications are yet to be revealed but it is reported that the Ninja 7 Hybrid will weigh more than its ICE counterpart. Also, as seen in pictures, this bike is suspended on a telescopic fork and monoshock setup and will get two front discs, similar to other Ninja models. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and the tyre brand is Dunlop Sportmax Q5A.

Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid – Design

The bike takes its design cues from the 2024 Ninja ZX6R (headlight design and overall body) and Ninja 400 (turn indicators in fairings). Colour-wise the undercowl has a Matte Lime Green Shade while the body panels get a silver and black finish, which carries the iconic Kawasaki colour scheme.

Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid – Powertrain

The Ninja 7 HEV draws its power from the water-cooled, 451 cc parallel-twin engine paired with an electric motor. While the combined power stands at 60 hp, the e-boost function increases the numbers up to 69 hp for 15 seconds at a time. The petrol unit alone produces 48 hp while the electric motor is responsible for the remaining 12.

Apart from that, Kawasaki claims that the Ninja 7 hybrid’s performance is comparable to a 650-700 cc segment motorbike while the fuel efficiency is similar to that of a 250 cc, which is a huge claim. And if this wasn’t bold enough, the company also claimed that the Ninja 7 hybrid’s instant acceleration from standing start is comparable to that of 1,000 cc segment superbikes.

Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid – Pricing and India Launch

The prices are yet to be revealed, but the hybrid bike will be on sale in the UK next year and deliveries will begin later in 2024. It is yet to be seen whether the brand will bring this model to India along with its two other electric bikes.
