Positioned right between the entry-level 390 Adventure X and standard 390 Adventure, the 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R now retails at our shores at Rs 3.37 Lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, the brand will also introduce the global version of the bike in the upcoming months in India with a specifically designed suspension and higher ground clearance alongside the 390 Supermoto R.

The bike is built on a steel trellis frame and rides on 21-inch wheels at the front and 18-inch wheels at the rear (both spoked wheels). The suspension, on the other hand, includes USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. The braking is taken care of by a 285 mm front disc with an axial calliper and a 240 mm disc at the rear, both supported by a dual-channel ABS.

The front disc is notably smaller than the 390 Adventure’s 320 mm disc, providing more control on off-roads. The 390 Enduro R globally comes with a long-travel suspension offering 230 mm wheel travel at both ends with an ample 272 mm ground clearance. The Indian variant shares its suspension setup with the 390 Adventure R, with 200 mm/ 205 mm travel at the front and rear, respectively.

The 390 Enduro R comes with a 9-litre fuel tank, which is the same as the 390 Adventure but sheds around 6 kilos compared to the 390 Adventure, courtesy of its minimalistic body, highlighting its focus towards off-roading.

Powering the new 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R is the 399 cc LC4c single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, borrowed from the latest 390 Adventure. This motor churns out 46 PS of power and 39 Nm of Torque paired with a 6-speed transmission. A slipper and assist clutch is also included as standard which makes gear shifting smooter and prevents wheel lock.

Globally, the Enduro R belongs to KTM’s dual-sport fam that also includes the 125 Enduro R and the bigger 690 Enduro R. In India, the dual-sport niche is slowly growing thanks to Hero, which first brought the Impulse and then the Xpulse, the latter becoming quite a hit among the masses. With advanced features, a powerful engine and a lightweight body, the 390 Enduro R is apt for scaling the rough terrains with ease or just navigating through the potholes in the city.
