The 2024 version of the Yamaha Vino 50cc compact scooter is here, which now comes with 3 new colour options. The scooter is rather cute looking, with a retro charm and a lightweight profile along with high mileage.
2024 Yamaha Vino – Highlights
For starters, the new 3 colour options are as follows – Fighting Red, Fuko Blue and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic. Along with the cute colour schemes, the chrome finishing on turn indicators, grab rail, circular rear-view mirrors and tail lamp, further enhance the scooter’s aesthetics.
Talking about the new colour schemes, the new Matte Blue is quite unique which is essentially a mixture of Cyan and Gray graphics. On the other hand, the new red comes in a glossy finish and has black and silver graphics on the front and sides while the floorboard, glovebox and seat are all-black. Lastly, the Puco Blue is the most low-key one and complements the retro look of the scooter the best among the three.
Apart from the new colours, the ones retained from the outgoing model are the Harvest Beige, Graphite Black and Mahogany Brown Metallic while 3 colours have been removed – Bonnie Blue, Pearl Shine Yellow and Matte Armoured Green Metallic.
Vino comes with a cool retro-styled semi-digital cluster that displays basic information such as speedometer, fuel gauge, clock and engine oil change interval. Other highlights include an engine idling stop system to save fuel, a key cylinder with a shutter, a rear wheel lock and a combi-brake system.
Apart from the features mentioned above, the scooter further has a range of utility features which includes a dedicated space for a 500 ml water bottle, a glove box with a 12v accessory socket and a hook for hanging stuff like groceries. The under-seat storage also has an ample size of 20 litres which can easily fit a half-face helmet along with other small items.
Powering the Vino is a 49cc, single-cylinder, SOHC engine that produces 4.5 PS of Max Power and 4.1 Nm of Peak Torque. It is paired with a V-belt type continuously variable speed transmission.
The scooter weighs just 81 kg and has a seat height of 720 mm. Due to the lightweight and compact profile of the scooter, the fuel efficiency is quite high, with WMTC rated at 58.4 km/l, with a fuel tank size of 5.8 litres. The scooter has 10-inch wheels with a drum setup at both ends.
