Recently a new Husqvarna bike was spotted testing in India and it could be the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 as indicated by the engine and other elements on the bike. Let’s talk about them in detail.
When we look at the engine, it is visible that the exhaust routing and the vertical catalytic converter are placed a bit forward, which is similar to the one in KTM 250 Duke. The unit in the Duke produces 31 PS at 9250 RPM and 25 NM of Torque at 7250 RPM. Expect the engine to be a bit tuned to make the Husqvarna stand out.
Coming to its elements, the bike has a chassis, suspension setup with a USD fork placed upfront and Monoshock that is side-mounted and swingarm that is similar to the 2024 KTM Duke lineup. What’s different are the brakes which are different from both the current Vitpilen 250 and the Next-gen Duke.
New Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 Design
The upcoming motorcycle features a few other new design elements such as a larger and boxier fuel tank which makes the bike feel much larger than the current Vitpilen. The seat is also both longer and larger than the current Vitpilen, meaning it should be capable of handling bulkier riders since the current model feels cramped and uncomfortable for more healthy and bulky riders.
Coming the rear, the bike gets an extended tail section with indication and rear-set footpegs with raised clip-ons. This will give the rider a more upright riding posture when compared to the current Vitpilen 250 which has an aggressive stance and as a result, will ensure a more comfortable riding experience.
Expect the bike to come with a price tag of Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom) and the launch should take place sometime in mid-2024. The Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 will compete with the Honda CB300 R, the KTM 250 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 250.
