The Scout brand by Volkswagen has made a comeback but now its in electric form only.
A pick-up truck has been unveiled is called Scout Terra.
The price of the upcoming pickup truck starts from $60,000.
It has a mileage of up to 350 miles, with option for 500 miles with-in gas generator.
It is quick enough to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.
The pickup supports NACS charging and runs on 800v architecture. There is also up to 350kW fast charging and bi-directional charging capability.
Production will start in South Carolina in 2027, with $100 reservations now open.
Scout Motors is named after an off-road vehicle International Scout, produced from 1961-1980. VW owned the Scout trademark since 2020.
