Jaguar Land Rover annoucned that the flagship Range Rover & Ranger Rover Sport SUVs will be now locally assembled in India.
This means decrease in taxation for the luxury SUVs, making them for affordable by 22% than before.
The Range Rover 3.0-litre Diesel HSE LWB gets a price cut of Rs 44 Lakh & now priced at Rs 2.36 crore.
Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport 3.0L Diesel Dyanamic SE now costs Rs 1.40 crore, a price cut by Rs 29 Lakh.
Only a few variants of the Ranger Rover & Range Rover Sport are being locally assembled in India for now.
With this, India becomes the 1st country outside of the UK to locally produce the Range Rover & Range Rover Sport.
JLR already locally assembles the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport & Jaguar F-Pace in India.
Deliveries for the India-made Range Rover have commenced while the Range Rover Sport will start from August.
