Honda is all set to launch 2 new motorcycles in the Indian market. The brand teased two bikes, or rather their silhouettes, which appear to be of the CBR650R and CB650R.
The MY25 models of these bikes were launched earlier this year in India, but this launch seems to be bringing Honda's latest E-Clutch system with the 2 bikes
The system will increase the weight of the CBR650R to 211 kilos, which is an increase of 2 kg over the current model.
It allows the riders to shift gears without the need to engage the clutch lever while still giving riders the option to use the manual clutch.
The E-Clutch tech is claimed to take inspiration from Honda's quick shifter and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system and is made to work with a regular gearbox setup.
This system furthermore takes control of the clutch operation when the rider stops the bike and prevents any mishap from happening in traffic, like stalling.
The new CBR650R and CB650R with the E-clutch system are expected to remain unchanged in design and overall style, except for the e-clutch branding on the bikes.
Both the bikes are powered by the same 648 cc inline-4 four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which generates 94 bhp and 63 Nm.
