In the Child Occupant Category (COP), the Tucson scored 41 out of 49.
For the BNCAP, Hyundai used the Tucson's 2.0L Petrol AT signature variant.
Tucson is fitted with 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts, ESC and ISOFIX anchors as standard features. THe SUV furthermore complies with AIS-100 pedestrian protection norms.
It also gets other advanced features like TPMS, Level-2 ADAS, hill hold control reverse camera, front and rear sensors.
With the Tucson SUV crash test now done, Hyundai joins with fellow rivals Mahindra & Tata whose cars have been tested by BNCAP.
