Toyota Innova Hycross GX (O) – Highlights
The new Hycorss GX (O) is almost Rs 1 lakh higher than the GX variant and for the increased price, you get some new features such as LED fog lights, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and a rear defogger. The cabin also gets updates with a new chestnut theme, new fabric seat covers and soft-touch materials on the doors and dashboard. Other features for convenience have also been added such as a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and automatic climate control.
However, some of these features such as the 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and a rear retractable sun shade are missing in the 8-seater Hycrss GX (O), which is the reason why the 7-seater is priced Rs 14,000 higher at Rs 21.13 lakh.
Toyota further offers the Hycross GX (O) in 7 exterior finishes which are: Platinum White Pearl, Blackish Ageha Glass Fake, Silver Metallic, Super White, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine and Avant Grade Bronze Metallic.
As for the powertrain, the new Hycross GX (O) will retain the same 174 hp, 205 Nm, 2.0-litre petrol engine which comes paired with a CVT automatic gearbox only. Toyota also claims fuel efficiency at 16.13 kmpl.
Toyota’s ICE MPV currently has no direct rivals but it does compete with some of the 7-seater SUVs like the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus. Furthermore, the hybrid version faces competition from its cousin, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
