Along with the Xtreme 125R, Hero MotoCorp has revealed its flagship Mavrick 440. This motorbike is co-developed with Harley Davidson and is based on the X440 roadster. This is the company’s first 400cc segment big bike.
Hero Mavrick 440 – Design and Features
The Mavrick 440 features a round headlight with H-shaped LED DRLs and turn signals. The bike has a buffed-up fuel tank which is quite different from the X440, a single-piece seat, a flat handlebar and a short front fender. Added with the round bar-end mirrors, the bike has an overall retro-modern aesthetics.
Engine and Performance
Powering the bike is the same 440 cc engine which is used on the Harley Davidson X440. The unit churns out a power of 27 hp and a lower torque of 36 Nm at 4000 RPM. The Mavrick 440 is paired 6-speed gearbox and the overall engine along with the design provide good stability for highway touring.
Variants, Pricing and Rivals
The Mavrick 440’s pricing has not been officially announced yet, however, it is expected to be priced lower than its Harley sibling. The bike will be launched in 3 variants – Base, Mid and Top. The base trim will be offered in white with retro Spoked wheels, while the alloys are being offered in Mid trim with two colours and the top trim will get Smartphone Connectivity and diamond-cut alloys. The bike is currently available in 4 colours across the 3 variants – Arctic White, Fearless Red, Celestial Blue, Phantom Black and Engima Black.
Pre-bookings are scheduled to begin in February and deliveries will start in April 2024. Upon launch, the Mavrick will compete with the likes of the Triumph Speed 400 and Harley-Davidson X440.
