2024 Honda Fireblade Launched – Highlights

While the overall base styling of the Fireblade remains largely unchanged, there are a few newly designed elements such as the winglets, middle cowl and under cowl. These visual makeovers are not only cool-looking but are also functional since they improve the bike’s aerodynamics.

The key USPs of the bike however lie with the sporty fairing and the iconic Grand Prix Red Paint Job along with exciting graphics which are available with both the standard and SP variants. The standard version gets black USD forks while the SP variant gets golden USD forks. The SP version also gets an additional Matte Pearl Morion Black Shade.

Another Highlight of the 2024 Fireblade is that it is Honda’s first bike to get a new two-motor throttle-by-wire (TBW) system. The two motors open and close the throttle valve allowing independent control of the dual cylinder pairs. This new TBW system works in combo with other mechanical updates made to the bike.

These updates include changes in the camshaft’s valve timing and lift and shape of the piston head, which helped improve the compression ratio from 13.4 to 13.6. The ones riding will feel the improvement with the new bike, due to better acceleration performance in the medium speed range.

Furthermore, handling has also been made easier to control especially in the lower throttle opening range during acceleration and braking effectiveness has also been improved.

Apart from this, Honda has also changed the shape and weight of the crankshaft in order to reduce the mass of the inertia. So riders can expect a better connection with the throttle operation and engine response. These updates also allow improved follow-up performance. The transmission’s gear ratios have also been introduced. The electronic control equipment has also been updated to support the mechanical changes on the engine.

The 2024 Honda Fireblade also uses lightweight frame body components to achieve a higher power-to-weight ratio. While the standard edition weighs 200 kg now, the SP version is 1 kg heavier.

Both the standard and SP variant of the 2024 Honda Fireblade is powered by a 999cc, 4-stroke DOHC, liquid-cooled, 4-valve parallel, 4-cylinder engine that generates 218 PS of max power and 113 Nm of Torque. The unit is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
