Bajaj launched the new Chetak 3503 as the most affordable electric scooter in the Chetak 35 series. Priced at Rs 1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom), the e-scooter is positioned as the base variant in the Chetak 35 Lineup, which was introduced recently in December 2024. Let’s check out the scooter in detail.

Bajaj Chetak 3503 Launched
When the Chetak 35 series was introduced, only the prices of the top-spec 3501 and mid-spec 3502 variants were announced. Now, the entry-level 3503 has been launched at Rs 1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Compared to this, the top-spec Chetak 3501 variant costs Rs 1.30 Lakh (ex-showroom) while the mid 3502 variant retails at Rs 1.22 Lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the new 3503 variant Rs 20,000 more affordable than the Chetak 3501.
Speaking of which, affordability is the keyword for the new Chetak 3503, so naturally, it misses out on a lot of features and components compared to other variants. Still, it retains most of the important features like LED headlamp, a colour LCD instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, hill hold assist, call management feature, music control and more. Furthermore, this variant also comes with ride modes – Eco and Sports.

The features which have been removed include front disc brakes and touchscreen functionality in the digital display, to name a few. On the other hand, the scooter is a part of the new 35 series, so it gets the new chassis with 35 litres of under-seat storage and Chetak’s metal body, making it practical and durable.
The e-scooter comes in 4 colour schemes – Brooklyn Black, Indigo Blue, Cyber White and Matt Grey. It rivals the likes of other affordable electric scooters such as the Ather Rizta S, TVS iQube and OLA S1X+.
As for the powertrain, the Bajaj Chetak 3503 is powered by a 3.5 kWh battery pack, which is shared with the 3501 and 3502 trims. However, the performance figures of the 3503 are lower, and the top speed is limited to 63 kmph, for the sake of differentiation. The lower power benefits the mileage figures, which is claimed to be 155 kilometres on a single charge.
Bookings for the new Chetak 3503 have already started, with deliveries expected to commence from the first week of May.
