The reason for its whopping price is because it carries the 001 VIN number.
The Thar Roxx VIN 001 is owned by Aakash Minda, who bought the SUV after putting the highest bid.
Interestingly, Aakash also placed the highest bid for Mahindra Thar 3-door in 2020 and bought it for an amount of Rs 1.11 crore.
Minda outbid 20 active bidders during the whole online aution process.
This auction saw over 10,890 registrations which is twice as high compared to the 5,500 registrations for Thar 3-door.
Aakash has selected the Nebula Blue paint for his Thar Roxx which also gets an exclusive badge signed by Anand Mahindra himself.
Proceeds from the auction have been donated to the Naandi Foundation.
Delieveries for the Thar Roxx began from October 12, 2024.
